The Hamptons are known for it's abundance of famous and wealthy residents. They manage to accumulate junk aka "toys" over the years. Periodically a purge is in order. Maybe they read a book on getting organized. Maybe their spouse is a neat freak. Possibly they just sold their house for 20 times what they paid for it and they must deliver it "broom swept" and empty next week. Who knows? Whatever the reason, there are deals to be had. Sometimes, you might even brush shoulders with the rich and famous. They like a good deal also. How do you think they stay rich? They are great negotiators, so don't underestimate them, should you both grab for the same item.
